Xaris

Xaris is a small, non-denominational, unchurchy, unchoreographed, frequent gathering of diverse folks at different times and in varied places. There isn't any membership or statement of faith to agree to. We delight in truly being a 'come just as you are' cohort of young and old, men and women, from varied ethnic, political, and church/unchurched backgrounds.

Xaris is an opportunity for conversation about Jesus. We study what was written about him in the scriptures. We examine (1) what was said, noting the difference between the literal and the figurative, (2) what was clearly hinted at beyond the contextual meaning, (3) how what was written in the past might be applied today, and (4) ask if there is a deeper, more mysterious meaning intentionally embedded within the text.

Consider yourself always invited to any venue we are engaged in. Some are conversations regarding current issues, others are article/book discussions, there are weekly Bible studies, and then there are just great times to connect with one another over a meal and/or drinks. What works for you? You don't need to let us know you are coming, but if unsure where to begin when you arrive, just ask for Bill.
